I know Thomas Friedman used the term in a different context but can I misappropriate it for my next observation on Television.
The World is truly flat.
Yeterday's TV shows screened in America are available today in India... Globalization has well and truly kicked in....and am I loving it !!!
So, The Newsroom is winding down to the last few episodes and The Americans premieres in late January, House of Cards Season 3 in late February & Sherlock god-knows-when. So what do I do in the meanwhile? I just finished Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip for the 2nd time and it was so much fun watching Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, Matthew Perry and co: that its finally dawning on me that Sorkin could never be back in TV again and boy, would I miss him. Sigh.
Anyway, read this interesting piece on Best 20 shows of 2014 and was surprised by a few names in the list.
I am really now intrigued by Orange is the new black & Louie (which is actually showing on Indian telly).
Till January, here I go....
